Cambridge English Languages GmbH becomes part of HKV Swiss AG

We are delighted to share an important piece of news with you: Cambridge English Languages GmbH, the leading Cambridge and IELTS examination centre in German-speaking Switzerland, is now part of HKV Swiss AG. This established provider of commercial education, with a nationwide reach across Switzerland, is headquartered in Aarau (AG).

Cambridge English Languages GmbH remains unchanged in its brand, its locations in St. Gallen and Gümligen, and its established team. It remains your contracting party. Your courses, examination dates, contracts and Cambridge and IELTS certifications continue exactly and seamlessly as before, and our invoicing details and bank details also remain the same. Our accreditation as a Cambridge and IELTS examination centre continues without interruption.

With HKV Swiss AG, we gain a partner with over 150 years of tradition and an excellent reputation in the Swiss education landscape, one that shares the same commitment to quality as we do. From 1 September 2026, Sabine Voser will take over operational leadership of our institute and will work together with the existing team to drive forward the development of our offering. She previously spent several years successfully leading Bavaria-wide English certification in schools at the Cambridge Institute in Munich. The previous owners, Karen and Derrick Kerley, have handed over the company and are moving into retirement. They remain connected to the centre in an advisory capacity during the transition period.

We are confident that this partnership will allow us to strengthen and further develop our range of internationally recognised language certifications over the long term, for the benefit of everyone who learns and takes examinations with us.
